I am pretty happy today that I only have one more day of work this week and that day of work is actually a training. SWEET!!! Then it is vacation time. : )

Tomorrow is also sushi day which I am beyond excited about. Oh, and we get to wear jeans tomorrow.

Wednesday I will hopefully be starting the painting of our upstairs. We are also going to be going out for Tibetan food. The rest of the weekend will be BBQs, drinks and fun in the sun.

h*dizz, I am not sure why we haven't met up yet. We totally should soon : ) I actually thought the same thing the other day about us running into each other or something and not even knowing it.

I am still thinking about how to reveal the changes that I posted about on Saturday. I promise I will do it soon.

Dear...

StarTribune,

Hopefully you have Internet stalkers like C&B does. When I called you this morning to let you know that I didn't get my newspaper, I was not expecting to have to speak with the dumbest human being alive. I didn't need her to tell me that she didn't know why the paper wasn't there, I just needed her to put in a request to get another one sent out. I also found it very helpful for her to ask me if I looked outside for the paper. I was happy with that suggestion because I usually use my magical transporter ray and have it beamed inside. I never thought that to locate the paper I should look outside. I have paid for your stupid Sunday paper for a few years now, when I very well could have read the thing online for free (like most people do now) so the least you could do is redeliver a freakin paper without hassle. I mean, really, why would I want another copy if I had gotten the first one? I loved your articles so much I just NEEDED to have an extra in case one got lost? Give me a break.

Blog Friends,

You guys are all so great. I wish that we could all live in the same place and be real friends. That would just make my life.

Neighborhood Kids,

I know that you all love TJ. He thinks you guys are swell too, but PLEASE stop yelling for him to come out and play when we are inside. You make him go ape crazy and I would really like it if he didn't.

Smartass Punk from across the alley,

I know that you think you are all tough and street or whatever, but get real. You are about 13 years old, weigh about 95 lbs and are about 5 ft tall. I could snap you like a twig if I really wanted to. I asked you nicely to stop with the fireworks last night and you didn't. The 2nd time I did yell and I did threaten to call the police if you didn't stop. You were scaring the crap out of dog and it was late. I found it amusing when you asked me how I was going to call the police. Let me tell you, I have many ways. First, I own a telegraph machine so I can wire them a message in a heartbeat. Second, I am really good with smoke signals. Third, I have a really loud stereo system that plays Message in A Bottle whenever I need the police. How the eff do you think I am going to call them? Let me tell you the real ways I could have gone about it. My cell phone and our home phone were on the table in the backyard. I could have used either to make the call. I also have a little panel right inside the door where I would have just had to push a button and they would arrive. You might think you are the toughest thing ever, but I know you are not. Since you continued on with the fireworks after I asked you twice to stop, I hope that you not only found out about my multiple ways to contact the police, I hope you and your mom enjoyed the visit they paid you. Don't mess with me ever again.

Changes...

So I made some decisions last night about different things going on in my life. I am really happy/excited to get started with everything. I am not really ready to write anything more about it at this time, but I definitely will when I am ready.

My happy item for today is actually making these decisions and finally starting to follow through with them. The other thing is a conversation I had with my friend Emma. She already knows about some of these changes and gave me some really good advice and she is going to help keep me motivated. : )

I realized today that I watch a lot of nerd shows. Like this, this, this, and this. I started watching these shows because E watches these shows, but they are actually pretty decent shows. Of course I also watch this, this and this among other things, so it all balances itself out.

We have also started to get obsessed with CSI: Miami lately. It is on A&E all the time.

Ring...

My new ring is here!!!!!!!!

It is gorgeous! So glad that Lizzie talked me into getting it. (Not a lot of talking needed to be done)

My ring, my new shirt and my new shoes made me happy today. Along with grocery store sushi, magazine reading and it being Friday!!!!

Listening...

I have added some more songs to my current rotation.

I am still listening to Leavin' over and over again. I am ashamed to say that I actually kind of like Jesse McCartney's music. (Shudder)

I have also been listening to Stolen by Dashboard Confessional and All I Want to Do by Sugarland.

I still need some more summer tunes to listen to though. I am in a musical rut.

I am seriously thinking about purchasing a piano. I found a baby grand for sale on Craigslist for $2500.00 and a newer upright piano for $750.00. I would ideally love to get the baby grand, but I don't know where I would put it. The upright would be easier to find a place for. A piano is on my short list for sure.

I need sushi and I need shopping. Luckily I convinced E to go for sushi with me on Tuesday since I get done with work early that night. I also don't work Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Woot! I am going to have myself a little vacay. Maybe some MOA shopping, some sunning, some reading etc. I am seriously pumped.

I Bought...

Drained...

I am so exhausted. Emotionally mostly. Work kind of sucked today, but that is to be expected.
It is getting better each day though. I am really looking forward to the weekend, especially since next week will be a shorter week.

Today chips and salsa made me happy. I know it is pretty simple, but I have been craving it a lot lately and I LOVE IT! The best is the corn and black bean.

This weekend E and I are going to go out for brunch. Hopefully to Duplex. I have heard good things about this place and I really want to try it.

Other than that we are hopefully going to work in the yard, BBQ a bit and just relax. I also need to solidify plans for the 4th. I also need to come up with something to do next Thursday. It is E's and my anniversary. Any suggestions?

NaBloPoMo Part 2...

Okie dokie, I think that I might do NaBloPoMo for the month of July. I don't know if anyone remembers, but there are now topics to follow. July's topic is food. Since I also joined Whip It Up I think that it would work out to post about food. I would probably post recipes, some possible restaurant reviews etc. I may resort to lists again as well. What do you guys think?

I will post more when I get home tonight : )

Crate and Barrel...

Ok, I know the Crate and Barrel stalkers are for sure going to see this, but that is good. I want them to see it. As I have mentioned before, I ordered a patio umbrella from C &B awhile back. It was on back order and it finally arrived today. I discovered that I was a lame-o and ordered just the cover. No frame. Oops. Anyway, I called C & B customer service, explained what happened and was told that I could buy just the frame on clearance as well. (Online it was bundled with a cover) This is why I will tell anyone I know that Crate and Barrel is one of the best companies ever. Seriously. I have purchased a lot of household stuff from them over the years and everything I have received has been great. The only thing that would be better is if they opened an outlet store near Minneapolis. That would make my life.

Thanks Crate and Barrel. (Hi stalkers)

More Music...

I posted not too long ago that I needed more music. I decided to expand the top purchased songs on itunes and ended up downloading a bunch of those songs, which led me to artists I had forgotten about, songs that I love and have forgotten about etc. I have enough new music to last me about a week and a half or so. : ) I really love people's suggestions so please keep them coming. L, I ended up getting some Cat Power. Awesome : )

Music...

That is what has been making me happy these last 2 days.
I have been listening to a couple of songs over and over again.
They include:

When the Sun Goes Down - Kenny Chesney
Better as a Memory - Kenny Chesney
No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem - Kenny Chesney
Leavin' - Jesse McCartney
See You Again - Miley Cyrus
Summertime - New Kids on the Block
Bob That Head - Rascal Flatts
Take Me There - Rascal Flatts
Shake It - Metro Station
Little Miss Obsessive

I also got some joy out of severely pissing off a crazy lady on the freeway today. Essentially she was tailgating me when I was already going over the speed limit (I HATE HATE HATE TAILGATERS) I tapped my breaks to let her know that she needed to back the f off. She decided to pass me on the right which was an exit only lane. She was coming up on the exit so I knew she was going to try and cut me off to get back over in my lane in front of me. Instead of slamming on the breaks to let her over I floored it and she ended up having to exit. She laid on the horn, was hanging out the window of her giant Suburban (also hate) and was screaming that I was a fucking bitch. I just smiled politely and gave her the one finger wave. It was mean, but she was driving recklessly and almost caused me to get in an accident. It was well deserved. I hope she had fun driving miles and miles to get an exit back to where she started from. The road she exited on is under construction and all of the exits are CLOSED! HA!

Anyway, tomorrow we have a huge team meeting which should be buckets of fun. I am actually kind of excited for it because I know that a lot of entertaining things will take place. Basically people not willing to accept blame/responsibility like adults. Hopefully this week speeds up a bit so I can get to the weekend. I have lots of plans!

Oh, h*dizz, I ended up buying that bracelet. Now we are bracelet buddies : )

Disgusted...

TJ had cat litter stuck to his lips and in his teeth.
He reeked of Fresh Step.
That can only mean one thing.
Pup pup likes eating cat shit.
SICK!

Happy Happy Happy...

The reason I am happy today is the 2 assclowns that are making my life miserable at work weren't there. ROCK! I was just at ease all day, nothing really went wrong and I wasn't at all stressed out. Seriously, these last few weeks I have been a mess. My stomach hated me, I was crabby and I think that E was about ready to kill me. Anyway, I have another day of peace and quiet before the mayhem begins again.

h*dizz requested that I post the recipe for the orzo salad that I was planning to make on Sunday. We actually ended up ordering pizza because we got sucked into Extreme Makeover Home Edition. Don't even get me started on that show. It was about a family from Minnesota. So incredibly sad. Anyway, I ended up making the chicken, salad and naan today. The recipe is pretty easy and very light and summery.

Greek Orzo Salad

2 cups orzo
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow pepper
Italian parsley
1 container crumbled feta cheese
1 cup pitted Kalamata olives
8 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic finely chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp salt

Boil water, add 1 tsp salt and 2 cups orzo. Meanwhile, chop peppers. (I did a fine dice so there weren't such big chunks) Strain orzo, rinse with cold water. Mix orzo with 2 tbsp olive oil, stir in peppers, feta cheese and olives. In a small bowl combine 6 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice, chopped garlic and chopped parsley. Whisk and pour over orzo mixture. Refrigerate. You can also add cucumber, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, etc. As far as the parsley, I just used a handful to add a bit of flavor. I am not a huge fan of parsley.

Grr...

I feel like my brain is in a blender. I have so many ideas and thoughts up there, but every time I try to focus they get all chopped up and spun around. I wish it would stop happening.

Also I had a really messed up dream. Really. Messed. Up.

Updates to come later.

Ahh Peace...

Today I am happy that I got to spend the day with E, our pup and our kitties. We had a little bit of lunch together, sat out in the yard for a bit etc. I even made a little Starbucks run for us. I got a mocha chip frappucino (delicious and another reason to be happy) and we watched a show on FOX called Don't Forget the Lyrics. I don't know if anyone else has seen the show, but it is ridic. It was obviously a rerun since Wayne Brady made reference to 2007 a few times, but I am curious if it is still on.

Tonight we are going to make a delicious home cooked dinner of chicken, Greek orzo salad and some Naan. Yum! We are also going to watch some Law and Order CI and possibly watch Semi Pro or Juno.

Last night we grilled BBQ ribs, sweet corn and had broccoli slaw. We also grilled up some burgers that we had for lunch today. Hopefully this relaxed mood can carry all the way through the week. I am just going to focus on my work, think of something fun to do over the weekend and focus on my vacation time coming up. If things don't calm down at work I will just have another sit down with the bossman (aka Michael Scott) and figure something else out.

I Want...

I think these would look pretty cute on top of the mantel.

Love it. Summery quilt to replace the down comforter.

Cute rug, don't know where I would put it.

Making me think of sunshine and lemonade. I might actually have to get these.

Dining room rug for under the table.

These would look amazing on my mantle or in my dining room.

This would look great on my coffee table.

All of this stuff is from Pottery Barn. No wonder E gets a nervous look on his face whenever the catalog arrives. I don't really buy stuff from them though. I got our current duvet cover and shams from there and some cute coffee mugs, but usually I get my home interior stuff from good ol' Tarjay.

I Downloaded This Today...

I will be adding it to my summer playlist along with a bunch of Sugarland, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney and Metro Station. I know it is a weird combo, but they are all upbeat and happy songs. I am sure others will make the list too like Vampire Weekend and another artist I don't care to mention. I only share that selection with select blogger friends. (Because it is embarrassing, obviously moreso than NKOTB)

Here it Is...

First my happy list.

1. Its Saturday

2. The weather is gorgeous.

3. I have dinner plans with E and friends.

4. I don't have to work tomorrow.

So I took Lizzie's advice and bought myself a ring. It was an idea she had to get me out of my funk. She asked that I send her pictures, but I thought I would share with everyone. I looked t some other rings, but this one totally fits my style. Its not too flashy, but it is still unique. I like it a lot! Now I just need to wait for it to show up.

Anyway, I am off to download some new music and then to lay outside, listen to some music, read a book and enjoy the beautiful weather. Have a great day!

Prepare Yourselves...

For a whole lot of randomness.

First, let's start off with the happiness so I can move on to the other crap.

1. Majorly annoying co-worker was gone today. PEACE AND QUIET (for the most part)

2. Had a little sit down with the bossman to talk about work frustrations. I am feeling a little bit better about the whole situation.

3. It is Friday.

4. I took Lizziebelles advice and bought myself a pretty ring. Yay!

Alright now that that is done I can move on.

I really wish that I had a big ass margarita right now. I need something stiff to drink.

I saw on People that Snoop Dog has a country song. I think that Johnny Cash would be turning in his grave. Speaking of country, I really like Pasty Cline. I might have to download some of her songs this weekend. My mom loves her and used to sing I Fall to Pieces to me all the time when I was little.

I heard a Beetles song today while I was on hold. It made me happy.

I checked my 401k balance. It is pretty decent considering it has only been open 1 year.

The 2 co-workers left at work with me are getting on my nerves. One of them keeps eating sunflower seeds and talking with them in her mouth. It is making me want to vomit. I hate when people talk with their mouths full. They are also trying to figure out anagrams, but neither one of them know what an anagram is. Basically I work with morons.

Now AC1 (seed girl) doesn't know what a proverb is. JEEZ!!!!!!!

I think that hating almost all of the people I work with has made me a better employee. The two of them have sat there for the last 2 hours or so dinking around. I have done 2 applications. I will be laughing all the way to the bank with that one!

Day 7...

The funk is slowly lifting. There are some things that happened today to make it a better day.

1. I got quite a few applications today which made some other people ANGRY!!!!! SCORE!

2. Lizziebelles and her funny comments/emails.

3. Finishing another book.

4. Starting the next one tonight.

5. Having a home cooked dinner at work instead of a Lean Cuisine.

6. Tomorrow being Friday.

7. My Crate and Barrel (hi C and B stalker!) order finally shipping and me ordering some more of their sales stuff. I heart Crate and Barrel. (Send me free stuff)

8. Did I mention the weekend coming up?

9. TJ and I going to the dog park finally.

Day 6...

Ahhh!!!!

Today E is the reason I am happy. He certainly knows how to talk me down and make me feel better when I am stressed out. Combine that with some good music and a Beach Club from Jimmy John's and that is happiness for today.

Oh, I also got a coupon from my favorite Barista from Starbucks for a free drink the next time I visit. Sweet!!!

Today wasn't really a good day. The people I work with are just driving me crazy. It is like working with children. In case you haven't caught previous blogs, I am not a huge fan of children.
I am glad that tomorrow is Thursday. I can't wait for this week to be over.

WTF...

According to People Magazine Mario Lopez in the hottest bachelor.
Gross!!!

Want...

Maybe this will lift me out of the funk I am in. I think I might have to go to the mall before work tomorrow...

I will be back later with my day 6 post.

Time For A Change...

I feel like my life is all clutter and just a mess. I also feel like I am dragging all the time and not getting things done. I need to do something about it. I wish that I had more time to do the things that I want to do. I need to start making a list and crossing things off. On my short list are:

1. Get my hair colored. I don't really know why I have let this go for so long, but it has been well over 6 weeks and it is just looking pretty terrible.

2. I really need to get paint and start painting my upstairs. It is probably going to take all summer to get it done. I am probably going to have to prime first and then paint. Cruddy.

3. I need to finish unpacking all of our crap. The stuff that I don't unpack I just need to throw out. I have lived here for over a year and am not done unpacking. I am guessing that I don't really need that stuff since I haven't used it in over a year.

4. I need to go through the giant stack of magazines that I have. Seriously, this stack is insane. It is seriously months on top of months of magazines.

5. I need to start taking better care of myself. That gym membership that I have been talking about getting since the new year? Still haven't gotten it, I am still not eating better like I said I was. It just needs to stop.

6. I need a serious vacation. I am thinking somewhere on a beach where I can lay out in the sun by the ocean, drink some cold drinks and just read and relax.

7. I need to go through all of my clothes, shoes, purses etc and just purge stuff that I don't wear anymore.

8. Lastly, I NEED to get rid of my debt. I also still need to talk to someone about Mutal Funds.

Looks like I have a lot of stuff ahead of me. I am going to start with the hair and the paint.

Day 5...

Wow, what a day! Work was slow but busy at the same time. Typical bitching from coworkers and customers just like always. Anyway, the rest of the day was pretty good. So here is my happy list for the day.

1. Sushi for lunch. Yum! (Even though it was just grocery store sushi)

2. McDonald's fries.

3. A nice comment from Nicole at desertcheesehead. Thanks!

4. Plans coming together for a cooking extravaganza.

5. Nice weekend weather. I have plans to take TJ to the dog park and to lay out in the backyard and read. Perfect!

Monday, June 16, 2008

Day 4...

I am finding happiness in the little things.

The things that completely made my day today were small, but great nonetheless.

1. Beach Club from Jimmy Johns for lunch. The best part is Jimmy Johns had tomatoes back! Yay!

2. Fruit pizzas for dinner.

3. Peach iced Honest Tea. Yum!

4. Fun emails/comments from friends.

Is It Bad...

That all I had for dinner tonight was fruit pizza?

They were really delicious.

Shortbread cookies, cream cheese frosting, kiwi, blueberries and strawberries.

I also had a couple of pieces of watermelon.

Yum!

I will update later about my happy thing for the day.

Sunday, June 15, 2008

Day 3...

With the stomach discomfort that I am going through right now due to my body hating everything that is food and the fact that two more of my friends got engaged last night which made the green monster rear his ugly head again it is really REALLY hard to come up with things about today that made me happy. I said I was going to do it though so here goes.

Kisses from my pup.

E making me a delicious BLT for dinner.

The nice weather.

Driving through downtown and not having a severe panic attack.

The fact that Army Wives, Law and Order CI and Iron Chef were all new tonight.

Finally getting to read my newest issues of InStyle and Real Simple.

I guess that wasn't really that hard. Now, I am going to suffer through my stomach issues in solitude.

Saturday, June 14, 2008

Day 2...

Today I am happy that I got to spend time with my family and my friends. Something I ate today made me really sick but inspite of that the kabob party was a hit again and spending time with everyone was great. The weather actually held out until after we were done eating which was also perfect. The weather today was pretty much perfection right up to the storm.

Trying Something New...

Since I have still not completely escaped the recent funk I have been in (totally and understatement at this time since I am seriously considering if keeping my job is better than completely laying out one of my co-workers) Oh, you want to hear about him? First he has been alternating between calling me sweetie and honey all day, he was standing behind me looking over my shoulder and I talked to a customer and started yelling at me to stop taking advantage of customers, blah blah blah. I am seriously considering reporting him to HR. Let's just say he isn't new to the whole sexual harassment game. Add this on top of the two idiots that sit across the cube from me that threw ice cubes, a chunk of a candy bar, a rubber ball and some baby carrots at me, the ones that don't do any work when our boss is out, the conspiracy theorist telling us why the government won't let us drill for oil, blah blah blah.

Now that I got that out of my system I have decided that I have been crabby, unhappy and stressed out for too long now. So... each day from today (June 13th) until July 13th I am going to write about something that made me happy, something to be grateful for etc. Some days (like today) it may be a list, others it might just be a little sentence, but there will be at least one good thing that made that day good. Let's get started...

Today June 13th:

Rascall Flatts and Kenny Chesney songs on my way to work.

Old Navy flip flops.

Taking a walk with my pup pup.

White Castle for lunch. (Kind of gross I know, but it was FREEE!!!!)

Kabob party is tomorrow!

Perfect weather.

Randon Facts...

I am going to take a day off from grumbling about work. I was actually having a good day until I had to listen to my co-workers go on and on about how much their lives suck blah blah blah. I don't want my blog to be like that.

Random facts 1 and 2 both have to do with blankets.

1. I cannot sleep (no matter what temperature it is outside) without a blanket of some sort. If it is really hot I just turn on a fan or the central air to make sure it is cold enough for blanket use.

2. I still sleep with my baby blanket. I named him Quilty. If I don't have the quilt with me it is very hard to sleep.

3. I make up nicknames for my pets. Lots of them.

4. I seriously love grocery shopping. I am pretty sure I have mentioned this fact before. I think the perfect first date would be grocery shopping. You can learn a lot about someone from the groceries they buy.

5. I am trying very hard to decide where to go on vacation. The last vacation I had was April 2007. I went to Chicago. I had a lot of fun, but it was really cold. I went to see the Twins vs White Sox for the home opener. It was cold. This time I would like to go somewhere in the fall. Somewhere nice and warm (or relatively so) with fun stuff to do. Like shopping and eating : )

In A Rut Part II...

Guys I really need help with some blogging topics right now. I feel like I am on this cycle where nothing new happens. I need some ideas to make this more interesting. Please help!!!

Ask me questions, give me topics that you want me to post about, anything.

Thanks!!!

In a Rut...

I am so incredibly bored and irritated. I feel like all I do anymore is complain!!!

I really wish this week would be over! E and I are having a bunch of people over for a make your own kabob party this weekend. I need to find a really good white wine sangria recipe. Yum! I will also be making a big batch of margaritas. I need to get some cute pitchers for them.

I have been pretty good about not shopping lately. I did order a few more books over the weekend, but that's it. I really need a pair of black work shoes for summer though. I might have to break down and buy a pair.

Other than that I don't have much going on. I need to find time to clean my house. That means I will probably start when I get home tonight and then get up early in the mornings to get it done. I have to go to my mom and dad's on Saturday morning so I won't have time to do it then.

Sunday, June 8, 2008

Refreshed...

Even though I worked yesterday and it was unbearably boring, yesterday ended up being pretty great. When I got home I saw that there were two packages waiting for me. One was the chair base I was waiting for and the other was my new order of books. Last night 2 friends came over, we grilled, had a couple of beers and watched a movie and just hung out. Today E and I slept in, went to Home Depot and grilled ingredients for steak breakfast burritos. This afternoon we ended up playing some Tiger Woods and just relaxing. I think we are still going to watch some Iron Chef, some Law and Order and maybe order pizza.

Sorry h*dizz, I didn't make it to the movie. I will soon though, I promise. : )

I am going through my books pretty fast. I need some recommendations for what to get next. HELP!

I already have next weekend planned out, I am going to visit my family next Saturday just to have lunch and stuff and I might hit up the GAP outlet while I am there. Hopefully it is nice this weekend so we can BBQ and sit outside on Sunday. We have been making breakfast together on the weekends. I think this coming weekend will be bagels, some sausage and fresh fruit salad. Going a little bit healthier this time.

How I Feel About Working Saturdays...

Friday, June 6, 2008

Bored...

Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow. Then it is grilling, drinks and fun. If the weather is bad we are going to watch movies. I know, I know, I need to stop doing such exciting things.
Remember the patio furniture issue? I still haven't gotten the base for my chair, I have called Home Depot multiple times and they haven't heard from the manufacturer. I was pretty ticked off when I talked to them yesterday. They offered me a $50.00 gift card as a sign of good customer relations. Thanks HD, I will be using that to pay for my paint and supplies. Right after I get around going to Hirschfield's to get a paint card of Electric Blue for you to replicate for a cheaper price. What? The Benjamin Moore paint is like $50.00 a gallon. No way Jose!
I am at work right now and I am bored out of my mind. I have a while left with nothing to do. There aren't any calls and I forgot my book. Boo...

Thursday, June 5, 2008

Thursday...

Yay! It is my day off. Unfortunately I only got 4 hours of sleep. Oh well, I can take a nap later on. I drove E to work this morning and then made a Target run. Target is bad when you are trying to save money. I went to get some more Method kitchen cleaner and cleaner for my hardwood floors and ended up spending $140.00. I did get some yummy food and some more books. I am on a reading streak I tell you. I finished Bright Lights Big Ass and started Celebutantes. I like BLBA and I am really liking Celebutantes as well. I bought the first two books in the Twilight series (because I am a giant nerd) and I bought two other books. I can't remember the names. I know one of them is written by the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants lady. The 2nd movie in that series comes out this summer. I am sure I will watch it (again, because I am a giant nerd) I have my haircut in a little bit. I am nervous. I don't like changing my hair.

I am pretty upset that Antonia got voted off Top Chef last night. I HATE Lisa!!! I thought it was funny that she went off on Richard and Stephanie for not congratulating her. I don't especially like Richard either, but his bronze medal comment was PRICELESS!!!

The cable guy is FINALLY coming today. It was pure torture to have that beautiful TV sitting in my family room and not being able to watch it. Speaking of family room, we finally decided on a color. We are going to paint the room a bright blue. Kind of like this:

Yes I know that is Carrie's apartment from Sex and the City, but I LOVE it! The best part, so did E. We are going to do the blue paint with white baseboards. We have dark chocolate furniture so it will look really good. The only bad part is we have a futon that is bright red. We might be able to get a cover for it or something though to change the color. Genius! Anyway, off to the salon.

Wondering, Humming, Loving, Wishing, Rejoicing, Excited, Frustrated...

Wondering:
How inappropriate it would be to leave a copy of Everybody Poops in the bathroom at work.

Humming:
Feist's Mushaboom

Loving:
The new Radiohead Album

Wishing:
It were 9:30 so I can go home.

Rejoicing:
The fact that work went well for once.

Excited:
About my day off tomorrow.

Frustrated: That I had to use the heat in my car on the way to work.

In other news, operation save money/pay off debt is underway. After tomorrow I will be giving all of my credit cards to E to hide so I won't use them anymore. No more shopping without paying cash. Maybe then I will actually think about how much money I am spending. I am also going to start socking away more money. I have a feeling that hard times are just around the corner...

2 Days...

Until I have a day off.

Until our cable gets updated so we can use our new TV.

Until my hair appointment with Eth.

Until I spring clean my house.

Until my shoes from Burberry get here.

Until my dinner "date" with E.

Until I don't have to listen to my annoying co-worker for 4 days.

Until I hit up the mall and the new Sephora store.

J Crew...

Needs to stop updating their sale items!!! Gahh! There is so much stuff that I want!

The new TV has been purchased. I now just need to wait for Comcast to come install our HD-DVR box and for me to go to Target and get some HDMI cables (whatever those are, please don't tell me because I don't really care.)

E took me to Wendy's tonight for a Vanilla frosty and some nuggets. Yum.

This weekend has been so great. Hopefully my good/restful mood will carry through the work week.

Perfection...

Last night I didn't let a little tornado warning ruin my night. We had a bit of rain, some thunder, some lightening and some hail, but we still managed to grill up some burgers, turkey dogs and some summer squash and zucchini. We also had potato salad and broccoli slaw. I made a big batch of my now famous limeade margaritas and we all sat out on the patio, ate, drank and just laughed for hours. After everyone having their fair share of beer we decided to move the party inside to play beer pong. I stopped before I drank too much, and fell asleep happy. This morning I got up, read my Sunday paper and hung out with N. J and E ended up bailing on us for sushi but N and I decided we were still going to go. My belly is now full of sushi goodness. I even tried some new stuff today. They had a new roll called the flame. It was tempura shrimp, spicy mayo, cucumber inside out with torched salmon on top. That one was ok, but the salmon tasted a little weird. N got the Yummi roll which was tuna, masago and cucumber inside out with tempura on top. It is one of my new faves. I also got my standard California and a crunchy roll. The only downside was the water smelled like algae. It happens in the Spring because our primary water source is the good ol' Mississippi. Delish. In just a few minutes we are FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY going to pick up our new TV. I might actually talk E into hooking it up tonight so we can watch 27 Dresses on the big screen. Probably not going to happen, but I can dream. Since I have been reading up a storm lately I ordered more books from Amazon. Next on my list:

Chasing Harry Winston
The Washintonienne
Target Underwear and a Vera Wang Gown
The Art of Racing in the Rain
Such a Pretty Fat

I plan on spending the remaining summer weekends on the patio with some classic rock, a cold beverage and a good book.

I am also planning on getting the new Radiohead CD today. I am also going to pick up their Best Of album on Tuesday. Thanks Margartia for the music suggestions. I love every artist you suggested. Unfortunately since I love them I already had them. : ) I just need to make some new playlists so I don't get annoyed by stuff I don't want to listen to.
